INSTAGRAM FILTERS
In the past year I've taught myself how to make instagram filters to assist community engagement for brands Wealth + Hellness and SS.SAINT.
They've also been useful for live-visualization during photoshoots. As I can see what certain effects/LUTS will look like before in real time, meaning we can make decisions on set (e.g., lighting, motion, set design etc.)
I've shared my top filters below.
My preference for filters is to use minimal Augmented Reality. Instead focussing on SFX / aesthetics to make filters something community members can make their own on-brand videos/content with.
INVERSE:
Inverse BxW filter with motion blurring to produce a shadow effect.
MONO:
Monochrome LUTS, accentuates highlights and dulls darks. Adds a glow to whites.
CHROME:
Light Greyscale LUTS with CRT effect to simulate users own camcorder videos.
